Eddie Bell is 39 years old. He lives independently. Eddie has his own disk jockey business. "Eddie the DJ" does school and community center dances. He is a big Lakers basketball fan. Eddie was the first Special Olympic Athlete to coach a Unified Special Olympics Basketball Team. He plays drums at his church and performs with a gospel band.
Ernie Pyle is 46 years old and lives with his mother. He is our oldest Court Jester and a founding member. Ernie likes all types of trucks, especially the Monster Trucks. His favorite is the Hummer. Ernie loves to travel and has the ability to remember directions back to any place he has been. Ernie is mechanically inclined and maintains all our magic equipment.
Portia Carnahan is 26 years old and lives with her grandparents. Portia is a founding member of the Court Jesters and loves to perform magic. Portia attends Woodbine Baptist Church and has a cool Sunday School class. She works at Fazoli’s Restaurant and "loves" country music. She participates in Special Olympics and her favorite sport is golf. Portia is a Global Messenger for Special Olympics.
Bernadette Resha is an artist, movie star, television star, video star, violinist, public spokesperson. She is a founding member of the Court Jesters. In 1994 Bernadette was Tennessee Special Olympics Athlete of the Year. She was Easter Seal Society 2000 Adult Representative. In 2002 Bernadette started a career as an artist. She has had several exhibits and has sold many paintings and greeting cards on her web site www.bernadetteresha.com
Kevin Donaldson is 27 years old. He lives with his mother. Kevin is a very good athlete. He has competed in three Special Olympics World games. He was Nashville 2002 Special Olympics Athlete of the Year. His favorite sports are team handball, swimming and basketball. Kevin loves to travel and is very active in his church.
Kristy Dillingham is 26 years old. She lives, works and plays in Nashville, Tennessee. She works part time at a Kroger grocery store. Kristy swims on a swim team and competes in Special Olympics. Spending time with her nieces and nephews, friends and performing magic are her favorite things to do.
Michelle Greenway is 31 years old. She lives with her parents and has two younger brothers and a sister. She works at the Wild Horse Saloon and has worked for Gaylord Entertainment for 12 years. Michelle is a big hockey fan and loves her Nashville Predators ice hockey team. She participates in Special Olympics ice skating, bowling and gymnastics.
Justin Velez is 22 years old. Justin had a kidney transplant in 1991 and is on the national donor list for a second transplant. He graduated from Stratford High School in 2002. He has worked on Goodwill programs and is in a student work program with the Methodist Publishing house. Justin is one of our newest Court Jesters and his hobbies are bike riding and watching University of Kentucky basketball.
Henry Kunkel is a senior at Glenclif High School. Originally from New Jersey, he moved to Nashville in 1997. Henry is one of the newest members of the magic troupe and is enjoying the experience. Henry has a variety of interests that keep him busy such as reading, music, movies, art, bowling, camp, going to restaurants and playing video games.
Ron Hitchcock is 44 years old and lives with his sister. He is a founding member of the Court Jesters. Ron is a diabetic and has Downs Syndrome. Ron has appeared on TV several times including doing a commercial with the Riders in the Sky singing group. Ron’s hobbies are writing poems, dancing, listening to music and watching TV.
April Miliken is 26 years old and lives with her mother. She is a founding member of the Court Jesters. April has a beautiful singing voice and was in her high school choir for four years. She loves to travel and Walt Disney World is one of her favorite places. In 1999 April won two gold medals in gymnastics in the World Special Olympics.
Shawn is sixteen years old. He lives with his sister and his parents. SHawn competes in many Special Olympic sports. He is our youngest Court Jester but often assumes a leadership roll. Shawn is very active in the Boy Scouts of America and plans on earning his Eagle Badge.
Kenney Carpenter is 30 years old. He says getting to travel is his favorite part of being a Court Jester. Kenny is a very good athlete. Kenny bowls in three leagues and has a 170 average. Kenny works part time at Taco Bell. He lives with his mom and dad and his basset hound Syd.
Dustin Moore is 24 years old and lives with his parents. He has two brothers and a sister. Justin was in our last training class of the Court Jesters. He graduated Hillwood High School in 2003 and won a "Best all around athlete" award. His hobbies are playing video games, gold, swimming, tennis and bowling.
Tom Stone has been a magician for over 30 years. He worked twenty three years with the Nashville TN Parks and Recreation Disabilities Program. He began the Court Jesters magic program as an experiment to determine if individuals with a mental disability could learn the performing art of magic. He is 58 years old and considers the members of the magic troupe as part of his family.
